When it comes to comfort for horse and rider, the Solstice has it all.  Supreme quality X-grip Buffalo leather on a wood/spring steel tree with natural wool flocking.  Comes in two tone Havana or single tone brown or black.  Length of flap or size of knee rolls are available options at extra cost.  This saddle is the standard by which all other long distance saddles are judged!  16.5 to 20" (20" is plus $800) seat in stock sizes or to template.  6 Short billets or 4 long on custom orders.  US Endurance Team Member, Beverly Gray, rides the Solstice!

While the Solstice has been available since 1992, the 2011 model has even more to offer the horse and rider.  After the huge success of the new L & R Dressage trees, Steve and Chris Lovatt decided to bring the same principle to the endurance saddles.  So the 2011 Solstice has the new more open pommel and swallow tail points which free the horse's shoulders without compromising the fit.  For both the horse and rider, the new swing away stirrup bar has zero interference with the rider's legs (to say nothing of the total ease of putting on your leathers.)  Because this bar is attached on the top of the tree (and can be placed custom to your needs), it does not impinge upon the long muscles of the horses back, something we see out in the field far too often with other makes of saddles.
